 The latest addition to Neways is a new corporate office building in Springville, Utah that will accommodate administrative and business operations. The new campus will also include a new research and manufacturing facility (396,109 sq. feet) that will house manufacturing, warehouse, lab, and research departments. This project is currently under construction. The new five-story office building cost more than $14 million dollars and took more than twelve months to complete. Construction crews used more than 2 million pounds of concrete and steel to build the foundation and frame. Crews also installed 100 miles of electrical wiring and laid 60 tons of natural stone flooring. The building will be an easily recognizable landmark for the 28.6 million interstate commuters who pass by it each year. Loaded with the latest technology available, the 85,000 square foot structure will provide valuable support for Neways' rapid expansion worldwide. With more than 28 acres available for future expansion, the new campus will serve as a hub of business for distributors around the globe. The new office also has numerous meeting areas, including an event room with a capacity of 400. Hundreds of employees will be moving into the new building in early spring, 2003. Neways' long-term goal is to move all of its Utah based operations to the Springville Campus. |
